The Family of Barnett Moore of Town Creek

The information below was gathered by me before 1995, along with all the other Moore families.  Then Drewey Wayne Gunn, Alice Jones Ross, and Donald Wayne Hoover compiled The Descendants of Barnett Moore of Rockingham County, North Carolina.  Although that book, printed in 1997, is must reading for any of Barnett's descendants, I've decided to include my own original notes (so heavy on deeds) on this website as a compliment to their work.  My notes are unchanged except that I've used their much more comprehensive work for many birth, marriage and death dates.

Not all of the children of Barnett Moore are included, only those for whom I had substantive notes.

There's a Moore DNA Project at www.small-stuff.com/MOORE.
